Yes, and Deepa Mehta may be a Punjabi, but what was Fire all about? Yes, a person's ethnicity should not count.. But I agree with what Mahesh Gupte writes. Fire was such a shoddily made film, the lesbianism theme was so out of context with the rest of the movie..Like MG says, because the West is talking about Gay and Lesbian rights, do we have to have Indian filmmakeres aping them? There are so many real and relevant issues in the context of India.. And even if you do want to talk about lesbians, for God's sake put it in a context where it fits! This movie was so bad, even Govinda-Karisma starrer makes more sense.

As for ABCD, what's new? Everything has been discussed spoken about, analyzed ad nauseum.
