To Day is Holi. No News paper in Mumbai.
So, I was surfing TV channels. I came across this movie “The Last King Of Scotland” in Star Movies directed By Kevin MacDonald. It is based on true story Dr. Nicholas, Who was personal physician to Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.
How my time passed, I do not know. I was mesmerised by the brutality of a human on other humans. The narrative is so strong that I hated the channel for breaks. The movie is about 2 hours, but, it is needed when you divulging the anger, the brutality the helplessness, the fear, the mistrust of an African power hungry dictator.
The Director used the tight screenplay and equally good photography made this movie a memorable biography.
And what to say about Forest Whitaker?
He went under the skin of Idi. His big frame, large spacious face and harsh voice were in harmony with the character he was playing.
He won Oscar for it. He deserved it.
Must see for al those connoisseurs of Good Cinema
