Aaja Nachle: or shall i say: Aaja Hum Nachle
Firstly, in the U.K., the movie has been well reciprocated compared to any other YR banner for 2007. Secondly, the movie according to our critics lacks consistency in scripts, rather dullish choreography, monotonous sometimes and absence of finesse one would expect of a dance musical. Our U.K. judges gave it a three star and a four star to Madhuri Dixit. Thirdly, the movie lacks Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra input. Had Yash Chopra given it fine tuning, the movie would have had three more dance numbers, a little more spice to the script and some beautiful musical in the end. Fourthly, the title of the movie should have been AAJA HUM NACHLE. The setting of course would have been much more modern in a theatre that speaks of our modern day drama and fine arts in India. The movie lacked children dancing. The movie director has made a poor job of making a movie around political controversies. In India, politics is a subject that should and must never be contemplated ever in movies. Leave the rubbish out of movie and instead bring in some beautiful dancing like the musical hits of YR banner and make the movie a little more realistic, yes, the movie would have definitely hit the box office. Who is to say that this is the end. Perhaps, this may be the begining of another cycle and in this cycle, Madhuri Dixit has to be cautious and careful and weary of the Indian politics that stab people behind their backs and that slag their own kind... It can only happen in India. Here in the UK, we love Shilpa Shetty's performance, whereas in India, she is slagged off. Shilpa was nothing in INDIA. Here she is a rich, famous and wealthy! Most Indians who leave India to come to UK and USA and Europe and MiddleEast, do so out of greed of money, selfishness, but more so because of lack or absence of security - "internal peace" that arises in highly competitive nation that batters upon hypocricy, corruption, political religions, fragmented cultures across the board, and so much hatred and anger against one another. I for one am NOT a Hindu born in India. For me, I would dread to live in India and albeit my talents in fine arts excel par excellently in dance choreography, I would hesitate to go to Mumbai and entrust my luck in the hands of those whom I do know not spiritually. I always lived in fairy tale myth that India was spiritual. Spiritualism truly is in one's own integrity, one's own dignity, one's own soul, and, one's own way of life. There may be many more bollywood actresses who shine by their vulgarity and boldness. Good for them. However, when one speaks of pure dance skills and pure entertainment, very few will actually match the calibre of Madam MaDhurijee who dances from her soul. She must explore the possibilities of flamenco dancing tapping away my flamenco shoes to her ghonghoroo would be a challenge I would contemplate
I wish MadhuriJee will NOT stop acting or dancing because that is what she is...................She is a dancing queen
In future, perhaps a better package could be offered to her and I truly hope and pray to RAMA, she does accept it.
