Aamir Movie Review (2 Reviews)
After many people recommended it, I had to see Aamir. And after watching the movie, i had to agree with them. A different film altogether.(Though the phone call plot may look a little like cellular, but its not!).
Its easy to see why Rajeev khandelwal was hugely popular in his popular saas-bahu soap. The guy looks gud. And acts well.
For a first time movie, this is a brave effort. The film is very engaging. The director takes you on a journey across the mumbai underbelly...to some of the most shocking places inside the heart of a cosmopolitan city..its all so real!!..
you move along with the movie...though the suspense is not that intense.. However it never loses its grip on the viewer. It is very topical..about the deplorable conditions of Muslims, about fundamentalism, etc.The director presents both extremes-the neo-muslim face of Islam and Islamic fundamentalism.
Aamir is not exceptional cinema..but its brave nevertheless. And most importantly, it makes you think..about many things which deserve to be given a thought!!
