Apne is again to coat my favourite character from Sholay Viru "is movie mein emotion hain, drama hain, tragedy hai par dham nahin"

Dharampaji is a retired boxer who has a daag or kichad against his name. He was a silver medalist in god knows which olympics and was cheated out a heavyweight boxing title. He swears revenge "maa kasam Gabaar mein ek ek ko chun chun kar maronga". He does not get on a horse but trains putar sunny to be a boxer. Sunny takes over the family responsibility instead of cleaning his fathers name. Other boy Bobby is handicaped and cannot help fulfill his dad's dream.

This movie has more miracles and magic than your average Harry porter movie with Bobby's hand getting fixed and he trains to be a boxer to take on the heavy weight champion in a matter of few months. Right from the akada in apna Punjab to straight to the rings in new york just like that. Paaji still hates his son for dissapointing him even though he lives in his house. Bobby gets cheated out of the title and lands in hospital. This time Sunny instead of a horse gets on a plane and even beats the world champ at a press conference. The world champion luca who has a spanish name but is a black guy swears to kill him in the ring. With in a month sunny paaji is ready to take on a champion who has trained for years..if this is not magic I dont know what is magic

As usual the women have no role to play but be devoted, loving and support any bullshit the men throw at them.The boxing fights look unreal and sunny has paunch and a wig which make him look like Jagdeep the comedian than a hero.

The movie has more Dharmendra than the two put together. He does a good job at that and does still have a screen presence which his two kids put together cannot match. Sunny once upon a time was a good hero now with a wig and all looks silly.Shilpa and Kaif have roles which easily could have been edited out with no impact on the overall movie.
