Chandni Bar

A morbid, realistic look at the drudgery of the beer bar girls,the movie revolves around Tabu, who comes to Bombay after the death of her parents. The film moves slowly around the travails of her day-to-day life, not seeking to sensationalise or cheapen the life that many girls lead to eke out their livelihood. Taby has proved once again that she is an actress of calibre. It is a very disturbing movie, one that does not quicly fade from your consciousness. Not a movie for children, with its scenes of rape and sodomy, and the language of the milieu in which it is set.

I need to take a break and see a mindless frothy movie after this.
