Stark naked-more naked than the dancers of Chandni Bar could ever portray. Incrdible concept and direction by Madhur Bhandarkar of "Satta" fame. Good films wake you up take notice of the stark surroundings. The reality of brutal life, terrain torn by torrid violence, hashish infested parlours is as black and white in contrast to the colorfull dancers of Chandni Bar. Good directors have the courage to portray the good (portrayed by the stunning actress-who supports Mumtaz charecter-I wish I knew the name before I wrote the review), and the bad with equal fervor, and let the audience decide instead of the unidirectional documentaries that are prejudical. The acting that stands out is the above charecter and Atul kulakarni whose acting prowess is in the same caliber as Aushtosh Rana and both have underestimated for their talents so an ugly moron could be put on pedestal and worshipped. This movie is an epitome for one woman's aspirations and hopes that are lost to the fire of corrruption and decadance that is sweeped under the rug.
