Rohit shetty after making an action film ZAMEEN which was an average hit with ajay & abhishek comes back with a wacky entertainer GOLMAAL
The film is a complete timepass but one thing for sure leave ur brains at home
the jokes are silly at times but work due to their handling and acting by the actors
The film moves at a fast pace throughout and the gags don't take too much time and hence the film is a sure-shot timepass entertainer which entertains and keeps u engrossed throughout atleast most of the times
The scenes betn ajay,sharman,arshad & tusshar are hilarious ditto for the ones betn them and rimii but the rape scene looks too idiotic and mockery making but anywayz it's fine
there's also a hilarious take-off on black which is one of the best scenes of the film
blemishes- there are certain crude gestures and dialogues which will not work with the classes
but who cares as it's a mass appealing film
the Paresh-sushmita song shd be trimmed a bit as it lasts for too long
The climax isn't appealing and looks contrived ditto for the snake fight portion
anywayz the film survives as it never takes itself seriously
there's a lot of deja-vu
the mute part is similar to CHUP CHUP KE
while the love angle is to DEEWANE HUYE PAAGAL
yah many other films too are inspired from
Rohit shetty handles the film well and keeps us engrossed
Music is okay,the title track stands out
rehja re,golmaal(start credits) are nice as well
dialogues cater to the masses and work well
Ajay Devgan after a long long time gets off the intense eyes look and the serious roles and rocks in this film, he suits the role of GOPAl and is particularly hilarious in the scene wherein he acts like an odd old man
his timing is superb
Sharman joshi is likeable,the actor is very natural
and deserves laurels for his free acting
Arshad warsi excels as always but it's tusshar who surprises with his flawless performance
some may find it little fake(his uttering garbage.etc) but still he handles the difficult part with excellence
Paresh rawal is dependable ditto for sushmita mukherjee
rimmi sen is okay
manoj joshi is superb
mukesh tiwari and rest are wasted

Minus Points: feeling of deja-vu, certain gags are too silly, lengthy
