Jodhaa Akbar

Just now I have come from Jodha Akbar. When I went to the movie I did not have any expectations of the movie except I was curious about the story.

I have great admiration for Akbar and to be honest that was created because of Akbar and Birbal stories.

In our school days , in the history we have studied that Akbar was great administrator ,one of the most popular Kings of Mughal’s period in India. And in fact Akbar was the favorite Mogul King because there was nothing against his character like deceiving his brothers or father to become the king like other Mughal kings.

Aout Jodha bai the history was silent. Till I have listened to Amitab voice telling us about the history I did not know any thing about her.

So I was waiting for the movie without having any idea of what to expect in the movie.

The movie was 12 Reels. I thought that is very short movie.

The story in short is about the way Akbar came to power, then conquering various territories of India, marrying Jodha Bai , falling in love with her, then learning to become a good ruler by conquering the hearts of the people.

The visuals created by the director and the photographer were simply out of this world.

We feel the passion of the director for the history while watching the movie. Each and Every scene was made with love

The action of Hritik Roshan is excellent. His looks suited to the character so well I forgot for some time that he is Hritik Roshan.

Aishwarya Rai  was  looking  beautiful as usual and it is always a pleasure to watch her. Action wise she did justice to her role.

The best scenes I liked are the war scenes where the Elephants participated, that was fantastic.

Then there is a dance scene through which the people recognize the good heart of the Emperor which was very beautiful and the way the whole dance picturised was   not only  magnificient  and also it touches our heart.

A very different movie with full of beautiful visuals, ( I am disappointed with the music part) and direction , acting of Hritik and Aishwarya excellent.

The story line is good and editing perfect.

Is it all about love story of Akbar and Jodha ? I think not. I think , it is all about how the Emperor became close to the people and people realizing the greatness of their ruler.

By the way till I saw the movie I did not realize that great Emperor was an Indian y birth.

But mentally get ready to be in the movie theater for 4 hours. Though it says the movie is of 12 reels, the actual movie runs for 4 hours.
