Jodhaa Akbar

Yup, I mean that , when I said that. This movie was a 4hr torture. The first 45 min went on showing akbar growing up and bairam khan beheading people. Nothing else other than that. Great war of Panipat had no war element in it. The videography was very average.

The sets though were very costly, but the photographer could not capture the best of that. Jodha, had to marry akbar unwilingly and never comes close to Akbar till the last segment of film. The claim that it is purely romantic film was never fulfilling as there were very few or no dialogues between lead actor and actress for quite a long time in the movie. The saas- bahu episode also was not appealing. But, in the end, when jodha and akbar fall in love..it gave a good feeling.

Coming to actors, Hritik was in a mood to dance, in every frame of the movie. The gait was bit strange. Elephant scene and scene of sword fighting though adopted from earlier movies.. were some scenes which can be noted.. else every other scence was quite ordinary. It never aroused any feeling in me when I saw the film. In anger, hritik's voice seemed great. Aish, had very few dialogues and was silent through out the film. There was no glamor as such and no fun. I wonder queen's life should not be that boring.

At the end, the comments that whenever some one talks about akbar, they talk about wars, but this film is focussed on jodha akbar's romance seemed as a joke to me. As in the four hour film, i.e., 240 min, we will find the romance not more 20 min. The spice of Indian cinema was missing and it was not realistic eather. In a world where people find no time, 240 min film was big ask. I saw many leaving the theatre, in the first half only. But Hrithik and Aish looked very beautiful, I think this would be loved by hardcore gans of these stars but people like me it is nothing but 4 hr torture!!!
