Johnny Gaddaar

Johnny Gaddar is an edge of seat thriller. The screenplay, direction, music and performances are first rate. Watch out for Neil Mukesh, Vinay Pathak and Zakir Hussain. The supporting cast of Govind Namdeo, Ashwini and Rasika Joshi are good. Dharmendra and Rimi are likeable.

The gaddar is revealed early, however what makes the movie work is its narration. The story is simple, 5 friends (or call it business associates) decide to pull their last BIG job together, but one of them double crosses the others.

The scene I liked the most was between Neil (Vikram) and Dharmendra (Sheshadri) after Daya Shetty (Shiva) is murdered - its like a shot in the blue and sets the pace for the rest of the movie. Neil has a great screen presence and has a bright future in the industry.

Don't miss this movie. Looking forward to more movies from Sriram and with Neil.
