Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

i thought that the movie was good. it brings to light some of the situations that couples have to go through in relationships. but, being a movie, and a hindi movie at that, i feel that it could have left out that certain cheating bit. i mean india is pretty decent with its marriages compared to other countries, and i seriously think that indians out of india are more conservative than those in it. at the beginning of the movie i wouldn't have said that they would have cheated, and i still think that they shouldn't have, and it did catch me sort of by surprise, but it created an effect with the movie. it made sense and lent it that "india and indians have become extremely westernized" stereotype.

my indian community is a prime example of conservative indians, and a lot of people disliked the movie because they wouldn't cheat on their spouse. the acting was pretty good, although amitabh bachchan's character in real life is questionable. the songs are really nice. mitwa makes me sing along quite a lot and where's the party makes me think of crazy frog.
