Rajib (Shammi Kapoor) is a young millionaire, who?s constantly criticised by his mother for his careless attitude towards his wealth. He leaves home when there is talk of arranging a marriage for him with a rich socialite. He goes to Kashmir where he falls in love with a guileless flower girl (Sharmila Tagore). Rajib lives incognito, in his family's bungalow, sneakily rented out by the caretaker, and is regarded as a harmless eccentric.
