Featured Kismet Konnection Movie Review

Life is all about hits and misses. What if yours is always a miss? An interesting punch line. But somehow the punch doesn’t last long. The “K” factor that mostly works for Ekta Kapoor & Karan Johar, need not necessarily work for Aziz Mirza.

Result : Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection is a “sometimes on, sometimes off” ......blinking Konnection !

Meet our hero, Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapur), a talented architect, bestowed with abundant college awards and ranks but not yet bestowed with success. Reason? Luck is not with him. Dejected, he consults tarot card reader Haseena Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla), who asks him to search for his good luck charm. Raj’s good luck charm turns out to be Priya, a human rights activist, who is striving to save a senior citizen community centre from a builder, Mr.Gill (Om Puri), who wants to set up a swanky, one-of-its-kind mall at the same site. The chief architect for this project, you guessed it right, is going to be our hero Raj Malhotra. To please his lady luck, Raj lies to Priya, saying that the community centre would co-exist along with the mall. But truth cannot be hidden for long…..
Ah well, the end is happy and predictable.

Shahid Kapur looks boyish and exuberant and puts in a spirited performance. He is easily one of the best dancers we have. Watch him swaying to the title track. Vidya looks pretty and plump and delivers a good performance. As regards the much touted chemistry between the two....it is thanda-garam, sort of intermittent !
