Sometimes I wonder what really matters….It is our body or our mind. It is our thought or our action .Are we really show what is in our mind? And are we really act what we think of.

The movie “Laga chunri mein daag” left me with a strange feeling. Whatever it showed in the movie is it really happening in real life? If it is happening then how sick is our society. How can somebody rape an innocent girl who came to him for a job? Are we human being or dogs?

He raped and her entire life changed. From an innocent village girl to a classy Prostitute!!!! Is that a transformation? Look at the transition of thought .If this film would have made in 90s then the heroine would have died consuming poison or tying a rope in her neck. But “No”…… all these never happened in this movie. She struggled .She accepted the situation and she learned to survive without caring about her body. What is this body after all…yes what matters is our soul and what it speaks is the real we…away from all emotions, unwinding itself from all social strings ….

She struggles and earns for her family and creates a place in this society…for her it is her profession …nothing bad nothing good …its just her effort  where she has a family to feed with, a sister to get education, father to get medical facility, a mother to get money to run her house hold. She sacrificed and she achieved what she wanted to….. For others ……….of course……..

But the end is too good. When everybody takes it positively and accepts her sacrifice and graciously turns her to an angel. That Chunari once again turned to be sparkling clean, with the support of her near and dear ones and with her beautiful thoughts…….

Rani Mukharjee, Konkanasen, Abhisek and Kunal Kapoor starrer, “Laga Chunri mein Dag”  is so well made and with its strong story line ,will left you think…..I would say very thought provoking. In the back drop of Vanaras and Ganges, it is beautifully made.

Konkana Sen’s role is too good. The star cast is superb.

In the end I felt the heroine should have gone through a STD and AIDS test. It gives a dirty feeling when the heroine is in flesh trade and when a clean person like Abhishek Bacchan asks for her hand, he should have thought of it. Giving moral support and marrying is a totally different issue I feel…….

There are few good songs .But I liked the one, “Hum to aise hai bhayya…” a lot. Good movie with lots of thought in it……..
