Om Shanti Om is set in the seventies and features Shahrukh as junior artist who has a crush on the bollywood female star, Shantipriya, Deepika Padukone. The junior artiste later on gets killed trying to save the female starlet who he loves the most. Thirty years later the country's biggest star is an actor who has the same face as that of the junior artist.Shahrukh makes another entry as a super star of bollywood. It is more of a reincarnation drama as he keeps remembering his past when he sees the fire or places or faces .Later on when meets Arjun Rampal who has changed his name to Mike everything flashes back in his mind and he remembers that Mike was the cause for the death of his lover and decides to take revenge by enacting the whole drama scene by scene. The first half of the movie is entertaining but later the momentum slows down.
Arjun Rampal playing the role of hotshot producer is captivating and Deepika Padukone who is gorgeous was the right choice of the director. Shahrukh looks good with his new developed physique.
Filmfare Awards party is the star attraction of the movie sit has 31 bollywood stars dancing and rocking away. For a Diwali weekend Om Shanti Om should be a good choice.
This is the first time the producer has given credit to all the crew members. This is a very good gesture of appreciation!
Plus Points: Direction, Cinematography, Music
Minus Points: The Ghost of Shantipriya was all dressed up for thirty years !
