Why Mr. Khan?
We are shocked and utterly disgusted by your latest and "greatest" project "Om Shanti Om". I am writing "we" because I represent a group of your now former fans. We feel that you spat in our faces, in the faces of the intelligent audience, of the Indian families that enjoy going to the movies together. You and Farah Khan have embarrassed the Indian film industry, yourselves and made the Indian people look silly to say the least.
We are not going to ask what Farah Khan was thinking because obviously very little if any thought was put into this gutter level project.
While we agree that there is nothing wrong with happy, no-brainer masala entertainment just for the fun it, you soiled that genre as well. "Om Shanti Om" is not only a sequence of old, worn-out gags which alone are enough to make the movie a sleeper, but its extremely crude and vulgar. The "Dard-e-Disco" song and dance performed by a 42 old man who looks his age, but is so desperately trying not to was self-mocking and pathetic. What is so funny about the so-called King Khan acting like a person suffering from a severe mental retardation with the hand in his crotch? Where is this so much publicized entertainment? The whole movie from the beginning to the end is dull and depressing in its repeatability, stupidity and vulgarity. Intelligent members of the audience were walking out of the theater. But alas! You don't care about the intelligent audience, do you? After all, "messages are for the post office" as you said in one of your interviews and movies? For making money without regard for much of anything else, at least in your book.
Families were walking out when you were making your vulgar gestures. But heck! Who cares about ruining a family day in the theater as long as the cash registers are ringing? By the way, did you pick this hand-in-crotch gesture from a certain American rock singer known for his pedophiliac tendencies which were the primary reason for his sinking into oblivion? Is he your role model and is his "interest" what you find cool and hip and trendy? For the sake of your children, I sure hope not. Its bad enough to see their father sink as low as he did.
We, your former fans have decided that you have soiled masala entertainment so badly that from now on we are saying: "NO to Shah Rukh Khan and NO to anything that he stands for"! We will not only never watch a movie with you again (if any), but we will also never support any brands that you endorse, although we have the buying power to do so. Let the gross gutter dwellers who love "Om Shanti Om" buy the Swiss watches and other things that you are the brand ambassador of. We will not. That's a promise.
