The best movie I have seen so far this year. Direction is outstanding. The cinematography was brilliant. Showing the Calcutta of 1962 was a difficult subject. Calcutta was shown very beautifully especially the Victoria memorial by night, the boat ride beneath the

Howrah Bridge and the Royal Calcutta Turf Club. Rekhas dance number at the Moulin Rouge was a reminder of the famous Park Street where all the numerous chain of restaurants and bars are in one street.

Saif Ali Khan is has done a mature performance; Sanjay dutt as usual is good with any type of role and Vidya Balan is beautiful as her first time appearance as a Bengali girl.
