Pinjar sets itself apart from the trash spewed out by Bollywood & Hollywood. This is a tale that just had to be told. Based on a true story, it's an emotional powderkeg that is bound to affect it's viewer.

The directing, acting, and story are all first rate. Manoj and Urmila should win awards for their performances. Even the editing is better than the usual Bollywood hash.

I hope it it is entered in the Oscar race for "Best Foreign Movie". Heck, if Lagaan could be nominated than surely Pinjar has it's place amongst the best.
