Raaste Kaa Patthar

Story about dreams and aspirations of common men and their exploitation by men in power, who consider them as mere 'Raaste Ka Patthar'. Jai(Amitab Bachchan) is a common man who spends numerous sleepless nights so that his bosses can enjoy with their other women in his flat. His dream of promotion costs him a big price and he looses his girl Nita(Laxmi Chhaya)to his lusty boss Ranjit Choudhary (Prem Chopra). He realizes that money can buy anything and a heartbroken Jai utters "Sifarish sirf promotion ki duniya mein chalti hai, dil ki duniya mein nahin". While Jai's best friend Arun (Satrughan Sinha) was a man of principles, had to depend on his wife's income. Later on he surrenders to circumstances and forgets all his prinicples for the sake of his wife to discover that his wife has take up prostitution and his whole world shatters. He is filled with rage and desires to settle the whole thing. Can Arun change his and his friend's life? Will Jai ever be able to win Nita's love back?
