1. All new starcast (except Shahrukh).
2. No make-ups (Shahrukh looks 15+ yrs older than what he looked like in Main Hoon Naa).
3. No villans, no action.
4. Absolutely no skin show. Not even a single kissing scene. (in fact Shahrukh hardly even touches the female lead!)
5. And a usual theme (r dude lands up in a village and sees problems all over and of course the solutions to some.)
But the movie still scores 5/5 in my opinion 'coz of its 'freshness'. Whether you are in India or abroad you could smell/feel each and every bit of the village portrayed. Authentic cast with real-life performances!
I guess Gowrikar started with a documentary in mind :) If you take out Shahrukh from the movie every bit of it is real and resembles a full length documentary of day 2 day life in a village!
Now add Shahrukh, a homecoming theme and Rahman's tunes and you get a feature film which will surely drive every Indian nostalgic (at least the NRIs)!
