Have u watched COLLATERAL?
I watched it some days back after watching THE KILLER and i was shocked at the scenes being lifted scene to scene,almost every scene looks like COLLATERAL
taran Adarsh says that COLLATERAL tended to become dark and depressing while this one was witty and light-hearted but thatz a small contradiction ditto for the romantic track besides which everything is copied scene to scene
leaving the inspiration aside, the film catches ur attention since irrfan and emraan clash the scenes later do keep u glued if u haven't seen COLLATERAL
but some scenes are terrific and what helps the cause is irrfan-emraan's chemistry which is terrific
bleimishes
the cop scenes are not treated maturely and hence the seriousness is thrown out when the cop(dubai cop) speaks eveyr sentence starting with I MEAN
oh gosh,the film was banned in DUbai also due to this
the best scene is the scene betn zakir & emraan where emraan shocks u with his acting completely
but post the accident of emraan-irrfan the film looses and gets predictable
the murder scenes also are very predictable
Music isn't up to bhatt reputation
barring HIBAKKI and OH SANAM the rest are boring
though Phirta rahoon is well seeped in melody it looks forced
directorally hasnain & raksha seem to be heavily inspired by COLLATERAL,to their credit they handled certain portions well
writing could be much much better, the last few scenes after the accident are truly bollywoodish masala,dialogues are g8 esp by irrfan & emraan
Acting is one of the saving graces
irrfan is splendid in his usual style but still he keeps u glued to the screen with his powerful performance
Emraan hashmi is awkward earlier but when he starts confronting irrfan he comes to form,he is superb in the scene with zakir hussain and also towards the latter reels showing his growth minus liplocks
The rest are wasted
Nisha is there for songs,and a few scenes which are nothing important
