The director Deepa Mehta is talented and the movie features reality of how child widow practice was encouraged and the picturization was perfect. The cast and characters were shown real. I am only disappointed at the end when it was shown that Hindu Manu's law was implemented to down play women. We do not know for sure if Manu's law was changed to down play women after invasion of mongolians, moghuls and Barbarian. Life in India was explored in a big way. There is a whole history of mystitism in India and if Deepa Mehta can portray the ancient rich culture of India portraying Great yogis, saints and rishis and their work it would add a positive dimension to outlook of India.

Deepa Mehta Kama Sutra was a dissappointment as Kamasutra is not about the physical aspect of sex as how itwas portrayed in the movie but Kama Sutra is the whole science ofusing body as ayantrawith the practice of tantra. Shekar Kapoor is making a movie on Buddha and I am sure he does not know all the facts about Buddha and his teachings. I am not sure how in his movie he will portray Buddha life as how Buddha experienced it.

Deepak Chopra Kamasutra book was also a dissappointment as it did not portray the sutras as it was perceived in ancient times.
