WoodStock Villa is a venture of White Feather Productions and is a thriller with tinge of Hollywood flicks of which Sanjay Gupta is known to induce. Director Hansal Mehta has in no way let down the producers penchant by intensifying the plot in bits and pieces to keep you seated through the 12 reel movie, only to be let down by a routine trodden end.The film is about a NRI, Sameer (Sikandar Kher) who comes to India to find lady love with Indian culture and actual intent to have fun. He gets himself entangled into web of abduction which is plotted by Neha Uberoi (Reshma) and her married boyfriend Arbaaz Khan (Jatin). The movie is quite suspense, till one knows that the plot is to save Jatin from his wife’s (Zara) murder. Reshma turns Zara and reaches to Sameer to kidnap herself, convincing him that she needs to check the fidelity and love of her businessman husband Jatin. The kidnapper calls the businessman for a hefty ransom in return for releasing his wife. Well, before the arrangements can be made the lady is found dead and following is a climax with re-appearance of the same lady (Reshma).

Debutant Sikandar Kher would require some more time to match up the acting excellence of his parents and is not from the league of stereotype actors. Neha Uberoi as a debutant is strikingly beautiful and carried her role quite well. Arbaaz has been more stoic and mature, delivering just what is required of him. The potential of performers like Sachin Khedekar, Dayashankar Pandey have been not fully tapped into. Shakti Kapoor, Gulshan Grover and Anupama Verma have been elegant and given their best.

Worth a mention is the cinematography by Vikash Nowlakha. Amar Mohile has come up with a good background music score. Overall the movie is all about changing moralities and deceit in today’s short and fast paced society. Check out Woodstock Villa to know whether it’s Sameer or Reshma or Jatin who change fidelities………………..
