Orata I Love You

Orata I Love You is a love story rendered by all newcomers, including producer C.R. Manohar, director Sree, writer Anil, music composer, G.R. Shankar and actors Prasanth and Sowmya.

Debuntate Prasanth plays Varadaraj or Varada, an illiterate orphan who grows up to become the dada of his slum area. The tough thug is ready to perform any activity for money and is used by a politician for his election canvassing and arm-twisting.

A rough man by nature, Varada falls in love for the first time when he meets a college student, Kavya (Sowmya). Love at first sight? Yes. But, only one-sided! Varada gets attracted to Kavya when he meets her for the first time and saves her from a problem. However Varada's looks and actions make Kavya feel that he is a rude and uncouth guy. Moreover, she is already in love with another guy Santosh (Sharan), son of a politician (Satyajit).

Kavya soon finds that Santosh is not worthy of her love as he is a drug addict and wants to use Kavya only to quench his carnal desires. Kavya escapes from Santosh's clutches and is forced to seek help from Varada. During the time she spends with him, she realizes the depth of true love and decides that Varada, not Santosh, is the man of her dreams.

On the other hand, the politician for whom Varada has been working for a long time deceives him and gets him beaten ruthlessly by his henchman; rendering him immobile and helpless. Varada does not want Kavya to see him in such a pathetic condition and informs her (through his friends) that he is dead. He decides to move away to a faroff place. Will Kavya unite with Varada?

Director Sree succeeds in his first venture but needs to work on improving the pace of his film. The movie does not have a good start but catches up as it proceeds. It's the second half that is more interesting.

Prasanth has given an incredible performance as Varada. However, he needs to do some homework to establish himself as a different actor. Sowmya excels in her role as Kavya. Shobaraj, Avinash and Satyajith have done their roles well.
