Balettan

Mohanlal is Balettan to everyone in the village and an epitome of goodness. He works in a cooperative bank as accountant. His father (Nedumudi Venu) retires as manager of the bank. His pension money is used to help many persons in the village. Venu on his death bed leaves Mohanlal with a new burden. He reveals that he has another family with two daughters. Mohanlal who has to keep the secret to save his fathers good name begins to juggle between the two houses. He has a doting wife Devyani who supports him and Sudish, a younger brother who is out to spoil his plans. Jagathy the bank manager, taxi driver Indran, Mani as the muslim friend, Harisree Asokan as a lottery agent are the motley crowd in the village.
