Nowrunning.com:Nammal is another campus movie from Kamal after Niram. What is different this time is Kamal introduces new faces Siddharth and Jishnu.

Snehalatha (Suhasini) takes charge as the Principal in a college where Shyam (Siddharth) and Sivan (Jishnu) are the heroes. Shyam and Sivan are fun filled characters as well as naughty. Aparna (Renuka Menon) is teased and ragged by the duo, who happens to be the daughter of Principal's friend. Aparna complaints and Snehalatha takes action aganist Shyam and Shivan. Soon to her surpurise she discovers that Shyam and Shivan are orphans, hardworking and their guardian is a priest (Balachandra Menon). But the real twist to the story happens when Snehalatha finds out that one of them is her son.

123Kerala.com:Nammal is a story about two good friends. Shyam (Siddharth) and Sivan (Jishnu) are orphans who study in a college during the day and work in the night for a living. They are the life and soul of the campus, and are also famous for ragging juniors. All the students mistake them for rich kids, as they are always jovial and happy. Reji is the enemy of Shyam and Shivan. The rivalry started ever since Shyam-Shivan group won the college union elections by beating Reji's group. A new principal Snehalatha (Suhasini) takes charge in college along with her friend's daughter Aparna( Renuka Menon). She is teased and ragged by the boys and when she complains to the principal about them, Snehalatha takes action against them. But very soon Snehalatha understands that the orphan boys are very hardworking and meets their guardian who is a priest (Balachandra Menon).
