Aadu Puli Aatam
Director Sanjay Ram's visual delight in Thoothukudi left everyone breathless. Continuing the good work, Ram strikes it rich in Adu Puli Attam.
Seemingly inspired by Ramgopal Verma's flicks, Ram's offering is engrossing striking an instant chord with the viewers. It's daringly different from the overdosed gangster movies.
With an all-new star cast, the director has narrated the happenings at a fast clip. Newcomers Maniprakash and Vennila perform with ease.
You could see the hardwork of the hero reflecting in his performance. With her girl next-door looks, Vennila fits in the scheme of things.
The entire movie revolves in and around Tirunelveli. Mandhiran (Maniprakash), an orphan-turned-gangster by circumstance, comes across Gayathri (Vennila). His life is not the same from that point.
A special team of police headed by Vellaithurai (Sudhakar Vasanth) is on Mandhiran's trail. Though Mandhiran is hated in the locality, Gayathri's family showers love and affection.
Whether Mandhiran pays for his savage acts or get his girl forms the suspenseful moments of the climactic act.
Praveen Mani's backgroud score is the added pep. In not losing focus and momentum, Ram gets his act right.
