Kannum Kannum

Director Marimuthu has given a good realistic love story that can be watched with family. There is no vulgar scenes or actions. Its all a true great attempt for a good cinema.
Prasanna is an orphan and is brought up in an ashram. After becoming a site engineer, gets some amount of salary to this home, as a tribute. After seeing Kumkumam ad for Tamil poetry competition, writes a poem and asks his friend to submit it. Though his friend forgot to send it, later finds his poem published in book but with different name. Goes to office of magazine and gets the address of the girl, who has the same feelings and thoughts as him.

Prasanna starts writing letters to the girl praising her poetry and the matching thoughts. This communication gets it to their love. he wants to see her, so plans to go to his friends house in that area; who is none other than the brother of his lover (which only audience knows, and the characters in movie doesnt know). When he goes there, the girl goes to all India tour in college. The friend has 3 sisters, they show affection to him and also their father Vijayakumar. They roam around the place and tells the story. his friend tells to help him, still not knowing that its his own sister. 

The family shows affection to him and stays there planning to be there until he finds that girl. While coming in a bike with his friend in a bike, he meets with accident and dies on the spot. Prasanna takes the responsibility for the friends sister's marraige. There was a small misunderstanding between this family and Vijayakumar's sister family (Rajesh is the uncle) on a marraige. Prasanna goes to talk with Rajesh family on the marraige issue, and gets the marraige of the two sisters. Third sister is already been devoted to Santhanam, who was waiting for the marraige of their elder sisters. 

On a college function, Prasanna finds that his friends sister is the girl he is searching for. Udayatara (heroin) also identifies that Prasanna is the person she has been sending letters, while searching for his belongings. Though Prasanna treats all sisters equally, but still heroin doesnt accepts to take him as her brother. In sequence of events, heroin asks Prasanna to avoid all the tradional functions as uncle, but under compulsion he accepts all of that. While giving green saree for his sisters, heroin burns it partially and doesnt take it. 

In meantime, Vijayakumar also dies and Prasanna does all cremation work as brother of the family. Since heroin doesnt accept for another marraige, plans to go back to his place forgetting everything about his girl and love. Prasanna tells good bye to everyone and gives the burnt green saree as remembrance to see him as brother. While seeing the photo of Vijayakumar, tells that he will return only if Udayatara's marraige. While going in train, sheds all the memories and goes to his place and heroin weeps with the burnt saree.

A good movie and a good climax. Vadivelu helps in the separate comedy track. Cinematography goes around Kutralam (where the whole movie goes) and is good. All in all a good family movie entertainer by the crew.
