Love Marriage Movie Review (1 Reviews)
Chennaionline.com: A remake of a Telugu film (Swayamvaram), it is about a youth who believes in love, but is averse to marriage. The tragic death of his friend whose wife had committed suicide after their love-marriage, the constant bickering between his parents, had made Shrikant (Ajay) shy away from marriage. For some unexplained reason, Shrikant had not told his lady-love about his distaste for marriage. So when she and her parents come to his house with the marriage proposal, and he rejects it, it is not only the families, but also Shobha who is shocked. Shobha later accedes to her familys plan to get her married to her cousin (Shyam Ganesh). But at the last minute backs out, opting to be with Shrikant. Shrikant realising her love for him, abandons his ideals and gets married to her.

There is not much excitement here, neither in the scenes nor in the starcast. It is Ajays home production, and who can grudge him if he wants to play the hero. But he makes up for his lack of looks by his ability to emote, and his expertise in the dance-fight routine. Debutante Ranjana is just about adequate. Shyam Ganesh (from the small screen) is steadily moving into the second hero slot.
