This is the usual poor boy meets rich girl story. The hero Saravanan (played by debutant Vaasan Karthik) is a coolie at the Madurai railway station. His friends (played by Karunas and Mayilsami) are his constant companions.

During the course of his daily work, he meets Nandhini (Mithuna). Nandhini forgets her mobile phone in the train and Saravanan lands at her residence to return it. There he meets her brother (read goon-politician) one-way Kumar (Kottai Kumar).

In spite of her brother's disapproval, Nandhini becomes friendly with Saravanan and also falls in love with him. She believes that he is a rich boy and has no idea about his background. Her brother uses all tactics to separate the two. But when he is saved by Saravanan from his enemies, he accepts him.

Besides this love story, there is another angle to the hero's life, namely the search for his mother. His foster-father (Delhi Ganesh) helps him in his search, and finds his mother (Sita), who is now a successful business woman. Happy at finding his mother, the hero goes to meet her, only to discover that she is going to adopt two orphan children in memory of her lost son. Seeing this, Saravanan decides not to meet his mother so as to ensure a brighter future for the orphan children.

Strictly an okay film, the music by Karthik Raja is the only saving grace. Debutant Vaasan has the makings of a good actor. Vadivelu's comedy is good, but seems to be added jsut to help the film. Other performances are okay.
