Rasigar Mandram Movie Review (2 Reviews)
As the name suggests the story is about Rasigar Manram (Fan clubs). Director Pugazhendi tries to project in his Rasigar Manram how the fans waste their time and energy which could be used for a better cause.
Except for a few star cast majority in the story are new faces. The director who has come out with a message however fails to convey it properly.
Story in a nutshell: Kathir (Ganesh) and Pandian(Gokul Krishna) run fan clubs for two different heroes. Both are head of their respective fan clubs. What starts as a fight between the two heroes on screen develops into a fight between their fan clubs. Thus Kathir and Pandian starts hating each other. Both the heroes exploit this situation feed the enmity. At this stage enters Bharathi (Uma). She is a school teacher. Knowing the condition of Kathir and Ganesh, Bharathi decides to make them realize their grave mistake. She wants to make use of their strength to stop the setting up of a water plat in the area. The water plant if functions would make the place a desert. The climax tells whether Bharathi succeeds in her endeavor.
New faces including Gokul Krishna have done their assigned job well. Uma with experience in acting so many films has come out with an extraordinary performance. Others in the film include Mansoor Ali Khan and Babu Ganesh.
Director Pugazhendi has made a daring attempt bringing out the flaws in his own industry. Though a bold attempt, Pugazhendi has failed to capture the attention of the audience. In short Pugazhendi has come out with a message that the youngsters of today should stop hero worshipping and concentrate on their own well being and the countrys future.
Those running fan clubs and making hero worship would sure realize their mistake on watching the film. Some of scenes in the movie portray how damaging it is for the youngsters to go behind their real time heroes.
The film would definitely make the fans realize their blunder.
