Sadhanai

At an age when most children confine themselves to school and indoor activities, Master Kishan forged ahead in the cinema industry. Kishan began his career in movies at the tender age of four. So far, he has acted in 24 movies and more than one thousand tele-serials in Kannada. He has a huge fan following in Karnataka. He has entered the Guinness Book of World records as the youngest ever person to direct a motion film. Truly a child prodigy, Kishan is affectionately called "Twinkle-Star", "Wonder Kid" and so on by the press and public.

The story of Sathanai is a real life incident; it has been adapted from newspaper reports. The movie is about an orphan child who overcomes many obstacles to join school and proves to be a prodigy. Sathanai (Penance) is about a small boy, rescued from a roadside beggar and brought up lovingly by an old lady. He spends his time helping the old lady, collecting garbage. One day as he is helping her, some of the garbage flies and falls on a boy studying in a convent school, who immediately insults the poor boy by saying he doesn't know the importance of education and school and other harsh words insulting him for his poverty. Instead of getting upset, the orphan boy develops an urge to go to school. He starts learning from boys who go to school. He does all sorts of work to get money. He works in others' house and they give him old clothes.
