Sivapathigaram

sivappathikaram, starring Vishal,Raghuvaran and Mumtha.

The story is about a young college student Sathya(vishal) who takes violence in hand to refine politics.

The movie opens with Elango(Raghuvaran), a retired professor and an X-IAS and his daughter (Mumta) returning to their native to settle permanently.. Elango
decides to publish a book on tamil folksongs. He calls in Vishal to assist him.
The second half of the movie reveals the conspiracy between the two and a flashback where a politician is held responsible for a disater in satya's college which took 40 lives including satya's dad.. when Satya plans to kill the third politician,the police deparment had already arrested Elango.Unlike the conventional tamil movie climax,the story ends with Vishal asking for a change and refinement in our political system and the words "yedhaachum pannanum sir"..

The heroine Mumta has less work to do.Thanks to the efforts of "kanja karupu", to make the audience laugh,particularly when he tries out the "yaar manasula yaaru" with a maid in their house. The movie is fast moving by itself.

Music by Vidyasagar.the song "kodiyor sila" pushes the blood up your veins.Atrai thingal and Chithirayil are melodies and a feast for the ears.
