Sherin returns to the screen after a gap with a new, attractive look, her oomph and sensuality enhanced.
'Agaram' had showcased Nanda as the angry young man, and it's re-enforced here in the grim sober look and angst of Ganesh. Particularly in the scenes where Ganesh turns protector to best friend Jency, who was on the run from her sadistic fianc Niky.
The earlier part is about the growing friendship between Ganesh and Jency. For fear of spoiling their friendship, Ganesh had hesitated to express his love for Jency. And then it becomes a bit too late when Jency consents to marry the London-based Niky. And for those who have seen 'Sleeping with the Enemy', it would give a sense of dj vu, wth some scenes almost a straight lift. Like Niky finding Jency's contact lens in his bathroom (it was a wedding ring in the earlier version) and having doubts about her death; Jency returning to her house and finding her clothes all neatly folded,(a fetish of Niky's), and feeling a sense of apprehension.
Not much originality here, nor even a decent adaptation. More of a massacre than a rehash!
