Athidhi

Athidhi comes as a disappointment for people who go to watch a film with Pokiri in mind. The film is high on violence and low on entertainment. Director Surender Reddy's weakness for long drawn out fight scenes with a lot of blood and gore has not gone don well with the audience.

The story is pretty simple. A young Mahesh Babu who is an orphan is given shelter by the parents of a young girl. They decide to name him as Athidhi. The parents are killed by a goon an Mahesh Babu is mistaken to be the el killer and is jailed. Mahesh Babu spends 14 years in jail for no fault of his. For this he decides to kill the goon. This is the only motive in life.

Hr also wants to meet the girl. The rest of the story is about what happens next. Will Mahesh Babu met the girl? How Mahesh Babu manages to convince hr that he is innocent. What happens to the villain? Is he caught and brought to justice? Answers to all this an more can be found n the screen.

Performance:

Mahesh Babu once again comes up with a winning performance. He has matured an actor. AmrithaRao is god looking and is also convincing. Murali Sharma steals the show. The other star cast Kota, Ashish Vidyarthi, Nazar, Brahmanandam and others. are average.

Music by Mani Sharma is okay. .

The only drawback is the heavy fights and violence. The comedy is also very little and a bit too crude. The film is a Mahesh Babu show al the way.
