Venu is an honest police officer.His wife Sangeeta craves for richness by any means.She tells her husband about neighbours, how they become rich by taking bribe.Venu had a mission in life for which he saves money by working over time.Dharani (Shabhana Khan), the rich woman is cheated by her relatives and works in a restaurant as waitress.

Sangeeta asks her husband to buy a Nagaland lottery ticket.Ramakrishna takes Sikkim lottery as Nagaland tickets sold out.Sangeeta blames her husband for not bringing Nagaland lottery ticket.In the meanwhile, Venu goes to a restaurant where, Dharani works after having his food he finds his purse empty.He promises the waitress (Dharani) that he will share half of the prize money of lottery in case he wins in lieu of paying bill (of Rs 50 since the ticket cost is Rs 100).Venu gets first prize of Rs 10 crore, he wants to stick to his promise of paying half of the amount to waitress, but his wife is against it.He says a promise is a promise and after convincing his wife through his friend, Venu gives Rs 5 crore to Dharani (are you surprised about income tax! me too!).

With Rs 5 crore in hand Sangeeta tries to spend life like rich people.They are shifted into a posh house.She appoints a personal assistant to care of her daily activities.With Rs 5 crore Dharani opens a restaurant but sticks to her duty of waitress!Venu moves closely with Dharani which is prominently covered by crazy media.Now, Sangeeta wants to take divorce from her husband and also wants total money.Court grants divorce to the couple.After divorce, Venu goes to Dharanis home and expresses his inner feelings which are telecasted live with the help of secret cameras.People understand his mission and send money to Venu amounting to Rs 20 crore for his mission.What is his mission and what made him to be an honest officer forms the rest of the story.

Krishna Bhagwans dialogues are hilarious as a police officer whose motto is to earn as much as in illegal means.His wife and in-laws use is it good for everything.

Ali and Brahmanandam provide comic relief.There is a dialogue of Brahmanandams daughter about her husband (Ali), she learnt to see hero in her husband not husband in a hero.

After divorce, Sangeeta gets total Rs 10 crore and her hunger for money is still there.What happens to her after that?The director leaves it to the imagination of audience.
