in a limited way, with a positive ending, of course.
However, Fundas given out by Bhoomika Chawla reminded
me of Kirti Reddy fundas-give-out-session in TholiPrema..
adey.. "enti balu---" series.. anuko vochu.
Debut direction by S.Gopal Reddy showed a freshness in approach
similar to Karunakaran's effort in his debut - Tholiprema.
Commendable aspect being that RaviTeja can do a good job with non-IDIOT/
bewarse like roles.. His 1980's costumes were interestingly funny
like the "Woh ladki hey kaha" in - DCH.
Learnt some telugu-fundas like the mukku-pudaka being an andhra
patented wear.
Keeravani's music was great. Lyrics were awesome. Script is marvelous.
Its been long that I'd seen a neat telugu movie. Another notable aspect is the narration.
Yeah, our telugu directors have recently caught on to the
"hero-narration-tactics"
from, may be, FightClub/ResvoirDogs/etc.. Initially, Bollywood gang
started aping it and
Tollywood couldnt hold on to the itch any more.
The narration techniquie in Gharshana was boastful and certainly
sort of un-welcome. It didnt have a decent comedy track. Which is
why it did a mediocre performance at the box office. Venky always
narrated the story as "Basic gaa nenu too much candidate. ni..
....aina sare.. nenu too much candidate.. ni ..aha..."....
antoo chaala over chesadu . tana narration to sava kottadu gani..
Gharshana was a good movie as well..,
inspired by "ab tak chappan " series in Bollywood, perhaps.
I'm afraid we, in AP, are not ready for a fast-paced/ need-your-brain-here
kind of movies yet. At least for a better entertainment, we need to hit
80+% literacy soon.
Btw, RaviTeja decision to not sign up for ShankarDada MBBS was a good
call. The songs suck big time.. Chiru Fans,, pl .. do something!
Chiru is still after state-rowdy/ trinetrudu/ gang_leader kind of movies..
Mammotty has got effective howto-(remain_a_MegaStar).htmls to learn from.
I'm sure RaviTeja's next project is "Amma Naanna, Maremo, Aame Kannadiga"
